Mavericks, Inc., the Japanese company behind the AI video generation service NoLang, is strengthening the global side of investor relations at listed companies with the English content generation capability of NoLang. Companies upload a Japanese earnings presentation (PDF or PPTX) or plain text, and NoLang understands and translates the content, then produces an IR video with English narration and English subtitles fully automatically.
IR for overseas investors is now essential
For the Prime Market, the Tokyo Stock Exchange has effectively required simultaneous English disclosure of earnings information and timely disclosure since April 2025, pressing listed companies to disclose quickly and fairly by global standards. Foreign corporations and other non-Japanese holders now account for 32.4% of Japanese shares, up 0.6 points year on year and the highest share since the survey began1, which makes communication with overseas investors an increasingly important part of IR.
In practice, many companies struggle to meet that expectation. A survey by the Japan Investor Relations Association found that more than half of the companies conducting overseas IR, 54.7%, cite disclosure and communication in English as a challenge. Publishing English presentation materials has become common at 72.2%, but only 18.4% distribute video in English, even though video makes information easier to grasp.2
With conventional production methods, the barriers were high outsourcing costs, the time needed to arrange translation and narrators, and the dependence on individual executives whose schedules are hard to secure. As a result, releasing an English video quickly right after an earnings announcement, when freshness matters most, was close to impossible.
Fully automated English videos from IR documents with NoLang
NoLang addresses these long-standing obstacles to English IR video in a single workflow.
Teams upload the PDF or PPTX of a financial results summary or earnings presentation they have already completed in Japanese, and NoLang understands and translates the content, then generates a high-quality explanatory video with fluent English narration and English subtitles in a few minutes.
As an option, Mavericks can also build a dedicated AI avatar for each company that faithfully reproduces the appearance and voice of an executive, and use it in the video. Executives no longer need to set aside time for filming, and the IR team alone can produce the video quickly.

The result is disclosure in English video that is immediate and fair to the global market at the moment freshness counts most, such as immediately after an earnings announcement.
Benefits of English IR videos produced with NoLang
Overwhelming speed and lower cost
An English video can be generated and disclosed immediately after an earnings announcement, when the freshness of the information matters most, so a company can publish it on the day of the announcement. The cost of translation, narrator arrangements, studio shooting and video editing, which used to run from several hundred thousand to several million yen, is cut to less than a tenth.
No dependence on executives, and higher-quality communication
Executives do not have to appear on camera or attend a shoot. As an option, a dedicated AI avatar for the company can be built to faithfully reproduce an executive’s appearance and voice, which removes the burden of appearing and the scheduling problem at the root, and delivers timely, trustworthy communication that is no different from the executive speaking in person.
Stronger engagement with overseas investors
Video is retained nine times better than text3, so distributing an IR video in English alongside written materials, in a form that is easy to follow visually and aurally, helps overseas investors understand the company and directly improves engagement. That in turn contributes to a broader investor base and greater liquidity in the stock.
Looking ahead
Mavericks, Inc. plans to strengthen multilingual support in NoLang further and to expand coverage beyond English to other major languages in stages. By supporting more efficient and more sophisticated disclosure in the IR field, the company aims to contribute to greater transparency for Japanese companies and to a more active capital market as a whole.
