Mavericks, Inc. (Minato City, Tokyo; CEO: Shota Okuno) has carried out a large-scale update of its video generation AI “NoLang” and released it as “NoLang 2.5.”
From internal rules, training materials and sales collateral to consulting reports and government documents.
Any PDF document can be turned into an editable video through “NoLang PDF.”
Turning PDF documents into marketing content
PDF is the standard format for sharing documents in business.
But video media such as YouTube and TikTok have spread rapidly, and people can now take in information efficiently through picture and sound. Against that background, a PDF made only of text and hard to edit is becoming an outdated way to communicate.
To close that gap, Mavericks has released the new “NoLang PDF” feature.
The feature converts a PDF file into a narrated explainer video with little effort, and the generated video can be edited freely afterwards.
NoLang PDF cuts production time sharply compared with making a video by hand. Company introductions, work manuals, earnings materials and any other business document can be turned into an explainer video that viewers remember better.
NoLang is a service that generates explainer videos from questions or documents, and it has already passed 100,000 registered users. Adoption by organizations is also growing: Hatsukaichi City in Hiroshima Prefecture, for example, turns complex administrative documents explaining municipal plans and programs into explainer videos to inform residents (Chugoku Shimbun, in Japanese).
Video content from NoLang can be used for communication of every kind, by companies, local governments and individuals alike. Even organizations that struggle to sustain PR and marketing activity for budget or staffing reasons can bring the work in-house at low cost.
Use cases in business
NoLang PDF can be used in a wide range of situations.
In sales and promotion, product and service overview documents can be converted into video in a short time and published immediately on video platforms such as YouTube and TikTok. It is especially useful where budget or schedule makes outsourcing impractical, since video content can still be published easily. Avatars and synthesized voices chosen to match product branding also feed directly into the value of the content.
For internal training and external courses, turning training PDFs into video has already been observed to deliver
(1) better retention, (2) higher lifetime value of the content, and (3) improved margins in sales and marketing.
Lighter workloads for instructors and support staff help build a structure that keeps delivering good content while reducing operating costs. Turning work manuals and procedure documents into video also supports the training of new hires and transferred employees, making people development faster and more efficient.
Financial reports and market analysis reports can likewise be turned into video so that stakeholders outside the field can follow them. The feature supports Japanese and English, so it can also be used for overseas investment analysis and for communication with offices outside Japan.
VTuber model support brings marketing with original characters
NoLang can now also place Live2D characters in videos. Live2D is the animation technology used by VTubers; it makes illustrations move smoothly and with a sense of depth. Integration with the PDF presentation feature is planned in the near future.
Companies can use their own original characters, making it easy to post and spread videos on social media that convey the world of the brand intuitively and shorten the psychological distance to viewers.
A range of production features to support communication
NoLang offers other features that support corporate communication from several angles. A Chrome extension converts a web article into a summary video in one click, so content on a company’s own site can be turned into video quickly. Vertical short videos for Instagram and TikTok can also be created, strengthening customer touchpoints across diverse channels.
NoLang Business Plan
Mavericks is preparing to launch a Business Plan for organizations. To make use inside a company safe and smooth, it is building an environment optimized for business, with a robust security setup and video sharing limited to internal members. Details are available on the page below.
