Mavericks, Inc. (headquarters: Bunkyo City, Tokyo; representative: Shota Okuno), the developer of NoLang, Japan’s first video generation AI, and other advanced AI products, has launched a development plan for AI avatars and AI voices. The service films and records an executive, or any other designated person, once, and builds a high-fidelity digital double: an AI avatar with a matching AI voice. From then on, entering text or uploading documents is enough for NoLang to generate a video in which that person appears to be speaking. The plan removes the scheduling problem faced by executives who cannot set aside time for filming, reduces the risk of an unintended remark, and lets companies raise both the volume and the quality of leadership messages in IR, PR and internal communications.
Why executive video matters, and the time barrier that holds it back
Video has become essential for engaging stakeholders, because it carries more information than text and conveys enthusiasm more directly. This matters most for leadership messages about a company’s vision and management policy, where hearing the executives’ own words in their own presence feeds directly into share price formation and employee engagement.
The data supports this. At companies that actively use video, employees are more than 70% more likely to say their company is ready for the future of work than employees at companies that do not. Where video use is well established, employees are about twice as likely to rate their working environment and training as excellent, and 75% more likely to say employee engagement is strong1.
Leading companies have already started. Rakuten Group, Inc. published an earnings presentation video using an AI avatar and AI voice of Chairman and CEO Hiroshi Mikitani, and it drew wide attention. AI avatars are gaining interest as a way to deliver timely, effective communication without consuming the limited time of busy executives.
At most companies, however, executive video communication is still far from established.
A global Vimeo survey found that only about 30% of business people in each generation feel they regularly receive video messages from their leadership1. Another survey found that email is the leading internal communication channel at 41.9%, followed by printed material such as company newsletters at 35.7%, while only 21.2% of companies maintain a portal site that supports video2. Video has clearly not taken root inside most organizations.
The main reason is how busy executives are. Blocking out time for a shoot, traveling to a studio and repeating takes all eat into hours that should go to management decisions.
AI avatars with voice that work around the clock
To address this, Mavericks, Inc. has launched a plan that uses the latest generative AI to build an AI avatar and AI voice that faithfully reproduce the executive3. Once the avatar and its voice exist, entering text or documents into NoLang, the company’s video generation AI, is enough to deliver a message in that person’s appearance and voice, at any time, from anywhere, as often as needed. No further filming is required after the first session, so executives can concentrate on running the business while their digital double keeps talking to stakeholders 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, across PR, IR, sales and recruiting.
Three steps from avatar development to publishing, with no specialist skills
The solution is simple to adopt and to operate, and it requires no video editing expertise.
Step 1: Filming, recording and model synthesis for the AI avatar
Filming and recording take place in a dedicated studio or similar setting. Mavericks, Inc. uses that data to develop an AI avatar and AI voice model that reproduce the person faithfully, down to facial expressions and tone of voice. The finished avatar and voice are delivered after the company’s development process.
Step 2: Create videos in NoLang
The avatar and voice data can be used inside the client company, and they are also delivered ready to use in NoLang, the video generation AI.
No video production skills are needed. Selecting the avatar and voice and entering text is enough to create a video.
Step 3: Publish videos inside and outside the company
With NoLang, the videos can be used wherever they fit the purpose and the timing: earnings explanations on an IR site, recruiting messages on social media, or employee announcements on an internal portal.
Four benefits that address management priorities
Adopting an AI avatar does more than make video production efficient; it delivers substantial value for management strategy.
Lower executive workload and cost
Every video used to require filming equipment, editing costs and, above all, expensive executive time. The plan cuts those sharply, freeing resources for decisions with higher management value.
Stronger risk management, preventing misstatements and backlash
An AI avatar speaks exactly the text prepared in advance, which prevents misspoken lines and inappropriate remarks. Because PR and legal teams can review and refine the script before it becomes a video, messages stay consistent and compliant.
Faster global expansion
AI makes it easy to deliver an executive’s voice in multiple languages. Even in a language the person does not speak, the message is delivered fluently in their own voice, which strongly supports reach to overseas investors, overseas offices and global markets.
A unified, stronger brand image
When the leadership keeps showing their face in digital, non-face-to-face channels, the impression on customers and investors is stronger, and the corporate brand image becomes more solid.
Where it is used
IR and earnings explanations
On the day of an earnings announcement, the IR team only has to upload PDF documents such as the earnings report and the presentation deck to NoLang, and the AI creates an earnings explanation video immediately. At the moment when freshness of information matters most, an IR video can be generated and disclosed in both Japanese and English right away. There is no waiting for translation vendors or subtitle production, so the leadership’s message reaches domestic and overseas investors with no time lag.
Internal communications and engagement
A communications officer only has to type the message, and a video in the CEO’s avatar and CEO’s voice is ready at once. Employees can receive it on their smartphones while traveling or between tasks, delivered with the CEO’s expression and voice. The warmth and seriousness that a mass email cannot convey lift engagement across the organization.
Sales and PR activities
Feeding an existing sales deck or presentation into NoLang and pairing it with the CEO’s avatar and voice produces a sales or product introduction video delivered by the CEO. In high-stakes deals that call for top-level selling, and in advertising creative where corporate credibility matters, having the executive’s avatar appear maximizes the credibility and the impact of the message.
What comes next
Through this service, Mavericks, Inc. aims to free corporate communication from its dependence on individual availability, combining efficiency through technology with higher quality. The company is also looking at developing interactive features that allow more natural dialogue, and intends to serve as a partner that supports corporate video use at the level of infrastructure.
