Mavericks Brings Same-Day Multilingual IR Videos to NoLang for Overseas Investors

Mavericks, Inc., the Japanese company behind the AI video generation service NoLang, is strengthening the multilingual capabilities of NoLang to support the global IR activities of listed companies. With this feature, a company uploads Japanese earnings materials (PDF or PPTX) or plain text, and the AI understands and translates the content, then generates an IR video with narration and subtitles in the target language fully automatically. Companies can therefore publish video explanations for overseas investors on the same day they disclose their results, and can tune the content and tone to the investor’s profile and nationality to aid understanding and raise engagement.

IR activities aimed at overseas investors are now essential

Since April 2025, the Tokyo Stock Exchange has effectively required companies on the Prime Market to disclose earnings information and timely disclosures in English at the same time as in Japanese, pressing listed companies for fast and fair disclosure at a global standard. Foreign corporations and other overseas entities now hold 32.4% of Japanese shares, up 0.6 points year on year and the highest level since the survey began¹, which makes communication with overseas investors an increasingly important part of IR.

Many companies, however, struggle with this. According to a survey by the Japan Investor Relations Association, more than half of the companies that conduct overseas IR (54.7%) cite “disclosure and communication in English” as a challenge. While 72.2% publish presentation materials in English, only 18.4% distribute videos in English, even though video makes information easier to grasp.²

Until now, producing IR videos for overseas investors tended to become a large project involving translators, narrators, production agencies and the executives appearing on camera, and coordinating all of them took time. That drove up production costs, and even a minor correction added several days of lead time before it appeared in the finished video. Feed presentation materials (PDF or PPTX) into NoLang’s document input mode (“Generate from documents”) and it produces an explainer video with narration fully automatically. In the video settings, choose “Summarize” mode and set a video length such as 1 minute, 3 minutes or 4-6 minutes to create a condensed version of the earnings information for investors who are short on time.
