Mavericks, Inc., the Japanese company behind the generative AI product NoLang, has added a new feature that generates investor relations (IR) videos quickly and easily, responding to demand created by Tokyo Stock Exchange rule changes and the globalization of IR activity. Companies upload their financial documents, and the video generation AI NoLang automatically produces an IR video narrated by an AI avatar, cutting IR workload dramatically and speeding up disclosure to overseas investors.

Video becomes essential to IR: TSE rule changes and globalization

Rule changes by the Tokyo Stock Exchange have raised the importance of IR activity for listed companies in recent years. Alongside conventional text-based documents, rich content such as video is now expected to make disclosure easier to understand.

From July 2025 the Tokyo Stock Exchange requires every listed company to put an IR framework in place, and it is tightening the continued-listing standard for the Growth Market considerably, to a market capitalization of at least 10 billion yen five years after listing. Companies are therefore under pressure to disclose information more actively and more effectively than before.

That demand for clarity is an even more pressing problem in global IR activity. According to a survey by the Japan Investor Relations Association, more than half of the companies conducting IR overseas (54.7%) cite disclosure and communication in English as a challenge. Publication of English presentation materials is progressing (72.2%), but only 18.4% distribute video, the format that makes information most intuitive to grasp.1

NoLang makes IR work dramatically more efficient

To solve this, Mavericks, Inc. is releasing a new feature that uses the video generation AI NoLang to create IR videos quickly and easily. The feature is a strong driver of more efficient and more sophisticated IR work.

Using it is extremely simple. Upload a PDF document such as a financial results summary or an earnings presentation, or upload slides, and NoLang automatically generates a video that includes an AI avatar.

IR teams are freed from complicated video editing work and can concentrate their resources on more strategic dialogue with investors.

Why publishing IR information as video pays off

A great many individual investors now use video when they gather investment information.

A July 2025 survey of 311 men and women across Japan who had invested in stocks within the previous two years found that roughly 80% (79.4%) consider video content useful when making investment decisions, and that the medium chosen most often for gathering information was YouTube (65.9%).2

Distributing IR video, which is easy to follow both visually and audibly, is therefore a powerful way to make a company known to a wider range of investors.

Strengthening disclosure through IR video broadens the investor base and deepens understanding of the company. That is an important effort, because it in turn improves the liquidity of the stock, measured in trading volume, and increases the number of individual investors who support the company over the medium to long term.

Feature 1: Speak as the face of the company, with a proprietary AI avatar and voice

With this feature, a company can have a dedicated AI avatar and voice developed that faithfully reproduce the appearance and voice of its executives. Busy executives no longer need to set aside time for filming, which cuts appearance costs substantially while still allowing timely, executive-led communication.

Feature 2: Disclosure to a global standard, reaching overseas investors immediately in English

To meet global disclosure needs, video generation in English is supported as standard in addition to Japanese. This removes much of the time and cost of arranging translation and narrators, and makes fast disclosure to overseas investors possible.

The avatar and voice a company develops can be used continuously as digital assets. Beyond IR, they can be used for internal newsletters, training videos, recruitment content and many other forms of communication inside and outside the company.

This delivers a consistent, credible message to a wide range of stakeholders, investors included, and contributes to better understanding of and engagement with the company.
