NoLang Slide Generation Adds 4:5 Vertical Slides for Instagram Feeds

Mavericks, Inc., the Japanese company behind the AI video generation service NoLang, will add 4:5 (1080×1350px) slide generation to NoLang’s Slide Generation feature, a size optimized for Instagram feed and carousel posts. The update is scheduled for release at the end of April 2026.

With this update, NoLang automatically builds 4:5 slides ready to post to an Instagram feed from text or PDF documents. Once generated, the slides can be finished in three editing modes — Text Editing, AI Editing and Insert Page — so users with no design background can mass-produce material for Instagram carousels, Facebook feeds, LinkedIn and X directly from the tool.

Instagram feed and carousel posts go mainstream, and the production workload companies face

Instagram has grown into one of Japan’s main social platforms, alongside LINE and YouTube, with more than 66 million monthly active accounts in the country¹. On Instagram, the recommended aspect ratio for feed posts is 4:5, which makes it the central format for corporate communication².

Among feed formats, the carousel post, which displays several slides in sequence, draws the most attention as the format that earns the highest engagement on Instagram. According to the latest benchmark from Socialinsider, based on an analysis of 35 million Instagram posts across 447,613 pages, carousel posts average a 0.55% engagement rate, ahead of Reels (0.52%) and single images (0.37%), making them the highest-engagement format as of 2025³. A structure that makes people swipe through a story, a comparison or a set of steps — more than a single still image can carry — is also rewarded by the algorithm, and the main battleground for reach and awareness on the feed is clearly shifting toward carousel posts.

Publishing carousels continuously on an Instagram feed, however, is a serious challenge for companies. In a January 2025 survey of 150 Instagram account managers on the realities and challenges of creative production for Instagram, conducted by eclore Inc., the most common obstacle in producing photos, videos and Stories was “the time and effort required for shooting and editing,” cited by 44.7%, followed by “a lack of specialized design or video editing skills” and “running out of eye-catching ideas and presentation angles,” both at 42.0%⁴. On top of the practical hurdles of production, the pressure to keep generating new ideas is a significant barrier for the people running these accounts.

To address the content production problem companies face in running social feeds, the Slide Generation feature of the AI video generation service NoLang will newly support slide generation at the 4:5 size optimized for Instagram feed and carousel posts, scheduled for release at the end of April 2026.

From the text or PDF documents you provide, the AI generates 4:5 vertical slides that fill almost the entire screen in an Instagram feed. You can give design instructions such as “a bright, pop design that stands out in the feed” or “a calm, trustworthy tone for a B2B audience,” as well as instructions about content and structure, such as “put the conclusion on the first slide and explain the evidence from the second slide onward, assuming people will swipe.”

Detailed layout settings are also available before generation begins. A slide is built from four blocks — Header, Title, Body and Footer — and each block can be turned on or off and adjusted in height down to the pixel. This removes the need to rework the layout after generation and produces feed-ready slides that match your brand tone and information density.

Another major strength is that NoLang’s slide generation is optimized for Japanese-language content. Because it is tuned for the legibility and line spacing of Japanese fonts and for layout and color patterns that suit Japanese business and social media culture, it offers a range of designs for the Japanese market that AI slide tools built overseas cannot fully reproduce. The result reads naturally to a Japanese audience, so the 4:5 slides fit straight into domestic communication and marketing.

Finished 4:5 slides can also be passed directly to NoLang’s video generation to be exported as videos for feed posts. 4:5 slides can also be finished flexibly with three editing modes

Generated slides can be edited with the same tools available for horizontal slides and 9:16 vertical slides. Specifically, NoLang offers three modes: Text Editing, AI Editing and Insert Page.

In Text Editing mode, you click a text element in the slide and manually replace any text — a title, body copy or key message. Minor changes such as fixing a typo or updating a figure are reflected immediately in the browser.

In AI Editing mode, you type an instruction in plain language — “change the color of the word NoLang to green,” “remove the unnecessary triangle in the top left,” “make the slide simpler: cut the volume to 80% and enlarge the text” — and the AI rewrites the design and wording of that page. Details can be adjusted while the layout stays within the feed size.

In Insert Page mode, the AI adds a new page before or after an existing one, in keeping with the surrounding context. Instructions such as “create a summary slide covering the key points of the PDF” or “create a slide that explains the previous page in more detail” are enough to drop a page in without breaking the tone. Even when you need a supplementary slide in the middle of a carousel post, it slots in seamlessly without disrupting the existing flow.
