Mavericks, Inc. (headquarters: Bunkyo City, Tokyo; representative: Shota Okuno, President and CEO), the Japanese company behind the AI video generation service NoLang, has released a new capability in the NoLang slide generation feature: it can now generate 4:5 feed-ready slides (1080 x 1350 px) rich in diagrams and infographics.
Until now, NoLang slide generation focused mainly on slides that organize and structure information. With this update, AI can automatically produce visually driven feed slides with a strong design, packed with illustrations, infographics, decorative typography and graphic elements. Users without design expertise can now create slides for a wide range of social media feed formats in a short time, including Instagram carousels, Facebook feed posts, LinkedIn document posts and image posts on X.
Instagram feed and carousel posts go mainstream, and companies hit a production workload problem
Instagram has grown into a major social platform alongside LINE and YouTube, with more than 66 million monthly active accounts in Japan1. On Instagram, the recommended aspect ratio for feed posts is 4:5 (1080 x 1350 px), a format that minimizes the margins above and below and fills almost the entire smartphone screen vertically, which has made it the central format for corporate communication2.
Among these formats, the “carousel post,” which shows several slides in sequence, stands out as the one that earns the most engagement on Instagram. According to the latest benchmark from Socialinsider, which analyzed 35 million Instagram posts across 447,613 pages, carousel posts average an engagement rate of 0.55%, ahead of Reels (0.52%) and single images (0.37%), making them the highest-engagement format as of 20253. A structure that makes users swipe as they read carries stories, comparisons and step-by-step explanations that a single still image cannot, and the algorithm rewards it. The main arena for reaching and informing audiences through the feed is clearly shifting to carousel posts.
Publishing carousels continuously on the Instagram feed, however, poses a serious problem for companies. In the “Survey on the realities and challenges of creative production for Instagram management” conducted by eclore Inc. in January 2025 with 150 people who run Instagram accounts, the most common challenge in producing creative such as photos, videos and Stories was “the time and effort required for shooting and editing,” cited by 44.7%, followed by “a lack of specialized design or video editing skills” and “running out of eye-catching ideas and presentation angles,” both at 42.0%4. Alongside the practical hurdles of production work, the load of continuously generating new ideas is a major barrier for the people doing the work.
A survey of 2,134 people in charge of corporate social media also found that about half named “a lack of internal resources” as their biggest challenge5. Knowing which format earns high engagement is not the same as being able to produce it week after week. This wall of production cost and operational workload is a high hurdle for many companies.
NoLang slide generation now creates 4:5 slides rich in diagrams and design
To address these challenges, the slide generation feature of the AI video generation service NoLang now supports generating 4:5 feed-ready slides filled with diagrams and design elements.
Starting from text, PDF documents or a URL, users can give design instructions such as “a simple, easy-to-read design that gets saved on the Instagram feed,” “a friendly, hand-drawn style for recruitment communication,” or “a corporate tone that conveys trust, for a B2B case study,” as well as instructions on content and structure such as “a carousel built for swiping, with the conclusion on slide 1 and the supporting reasons from slide 2 onward,” or “a comparison table condensed into a single slide.”
NoLang slide generation is also optimized for Japanese-language content, which is a significant advantage. It is tuned for the legibility and line spacing of Japanese fonts and for layout and color patterns that fit Japanese social media culture, so it offers a range of design variations for the Japanese market that AI slide tools built overseas cannot fully reproduce. The result reads naturally to Japanese audiences, producing 4:5 slides that fit domestic social media and marketing contexts as they are.
In addition, finished 4:5 slides can be exported as feed-ready videos by connecting them directly to video generation in NoLang. Clicking the “Video Generation” button on the slide screen passes the finished slides to the video generation screen as the input document for the document presentation mode, where a 4:5 video with AI narration, subtitles and an avatar can be generated. A single set of slides can be published both as carousel stills and as a narrated video.
Key use cases spanning Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and training
The 4:5 support in slide generation opens up a wide range of use cases. Because NoLang can pass finished 4:5 slides straight to the video generation screen as the input document for the document presentation mode, one set of slides can be deployed both as carousel stills and as a narrated 4:5 video.
The first is know-how content. Explanatory material that people read to learn something, such as marketing tips, techniques for improving day-to-day work, or industry background, is one of the formats most often saved and shared in Instagram carousels. As the Socialinsider data above shows, carousel posts are the highest-engagement format on Instagram, and because AI builds a structure designed for swiping, the people running the account can produce high-engagement carousels themselves at volume.
The second is product comparison content. Posts that organize the points people weigh in a decision, such as “subscription vs. one-time purchase” or “our service vs. competitors,” into a table are a standard format with a high save rate on Instagram, X and LinkedIn. With NoLang diagram templates, visually organized designs such as comparison tables, checklists and scorecards can be finished as 4:5 slides simply by entering text.
The third is recruitment communication. Publishing recruiting content as 4:5 carousels, such as introductions to open positions, employee interviews, and highlights of the work environment and benefits, allows continuous reach to Gen Z and younger professionals who rely on Instagram to gather information. It works as a channel for building a candidate pool alongside scouting platforms and recruitment websites.
Outlook
Mavericks, Inc. will continue to provide, through the AI video generation service NoLang, an environment in which the people responsible for communication can take existing information assets such as text and PDFs and develop them into diverse formats themselves, helping companies remove the bottlenecks in content production and communication.
