Mavericks, Inc., the Japanese company behind the AI video generation service NoLang, has significantly expanded its video template feature for advertising and PR use. The update responds to a problem that has come with the rapid growth of the video ad market: production teams do not have the people or the ideas to keep up. Alongside a larger template library backed by more than 300 voices and a wide range of avatars, the update adds finer directorial control through line-break and pause adjustment. Anyone can now enter text or a document and immediately produce and scale up short videos, ad creatives, and other marketing content in-house, without specialist skills.
Video ad demand is surging, and creative burnout is wearing teams out
Vertical short-form video built for smartphone viewing, on TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels, has grown explosively. Japan’s domestic video advertising market reached 724.9 billion yen in 2024, or 115.9% of the previous year, and is projected to reach 1.14 trillion yen by 20281. Seventy-eight percent of consumers also say they would rather learn about a product or service through a short video2. For companies, video-driven PR and marketing on social platforms is becoming central to building awareness and winning customers.
Unlike a static banner, however, a video takes many steps and a lot of budget: outlining, sourcing assets, editing. At the same time, social trends move very quickly, and running the same ad video for long leads to creative wear-out, where performance falls off. One study found that performance can drop by as much as 60% once viewers have seen the same ad more than four times3.
The result is a hard dilemma for many marketing teams: they want to produce many video variations to drive results, but neither production capacity nor budget can keep up. Forty-six percent of marketers name “posting consistently” as a challenge in using video for marketing and advertising4, which shows how difficult it is to keep producing and publishing high-quality ad videos at a high frequency. Combined with a shortage of skilled staff and rising outsourcing costs, teams end up unable to run enough testing cycles, and the lost opportunity is substantial.
An expanded template feature brings instant, high-volume ad and PR video production
To address this, NoLang, the AI tool that generates a video the moment you feed it a PDF or text, has significantly expanded its template feature for advertising and PR. This update focuses on persuasive power, the quality most directly tied to marketing results. Because the templates come with ad-specific structure and design already built in, users only need to prepare source material such as text, a PDF, or a PPTX document to produce and scale up effective ad creatives in-house that hold a viewer’s attention.
Many avatars, over 300 voices, and fine pause control for videos that fit your brand
The biggest change in this expansion is how much freedom of expression the recent feature additions have opened up.
A large batch of new avatars covers every brand tone
Mavericks has added a large number of avatars, the face of the video, ranging from pop, anime-style characters to realistic, trustworthy human figures. They can be selected from the Avatar field on the Video settings screen. That makes it possible to pick a character matching a company’s brand image right away, whether for consumer products that need approachability, such as cosmetics and food, or for B2B services where sincerity matters, such as SaaS and consulting.
A voice lineup of more than 300 options
The range of synthetic voices that narrate a video has grown to more than 300. These can be selected from the Voice field in the video settings. Some voices also accept prompt instructions on how to read a line, so the audio can be matched more closely to the purpose of the video. Choosing carefully among options such as a calm male voice, an energetic female voice, or a low, reassuring tone maximizes how clearly the message lands with the target audience.
Control over line breaks and pauses makes the intent come through
Beyond simply reading text aloud, it is now possible to adjust where on-screen captions break across lines and to insert deliberate pauses between passages. Placing the right amount of space around the key phrase an ad wants to emphasize, or the question it wants viewers to sit with, improves viewer retention and creates richer expression that deepens product understanding.
How the templates are used in practice
The low cost and high speed of generation that define NoLang can be applied across many stages of marketing.
Test marketing with low risk
The templates are well suited to test marketing, where the aim is to gauge market response before committing to full production or a paid campaign. For the same product, a team can immediately create two videos in NoLang, one pitching low price and the other pitching high quality, then distribute both on a small scale on social media and compare the results. Identifying which angle resonates before moving to full production, with no outsourcing cost, raises the success rate of marketing and PR work considerably.
Producing social short-video ads at scale
Vertical video ads for TikTok and YouTube Shorts can be created quickly in step with daily trends. Information whose value depends on freshness, such as a new product launch or a limited-time campaign, can be turned into video and published while it is still timely.
What comes next
Mavericks, Inc. will continue to add templates and avatars that produce results, based on the latest trends in marketing and advertising video. The company is working to strengthen the service and advance marketing DX, with the goal of democratizing video production so that every company and individual who wants to make videos but has neither the skills nor the time can express themselves freely with AI and grow their business.
